Support for Sexual Abuse & Assault
Sexual Abuse & Assault Counselling
Experiences with sexual violence can have both immediate and long-term effects on someone’s physical, psychological, and social wellbeing.
Phoenix House offers counselling to anyone of any age or gender who has experienced sexual violence, whether the experience was recent, or whether it happened in the past.
We are also here to assist the family or caregivers of our clients, and all sexual abuse and assault support services are free of charge.
We are also an approved participant in the National Redress Scheme for survivors of institutional sexual abuse.
We are happy to accept self-referrals, or referrals from other agencies where consent has been obtained. If a child or young person needing supports is aged 14 years and under, we do require a parent or guardian to provide consent.
